Deena was born and raised in the Hill Capital of Sri Lanka. As a country girl she was an active outgoing girl who participated in sports and kept a good track record at school.

Her modeling courier started when she placed 1st runner up in Miss Sri Lanka for Miss International 2006. Her natural beauty and talents attracted most of the leading modeling agencies in Sri Lanka.

Deena has already appeared on the cover of Go Magazine. Besides she has featured in some of top Fashion Magazines such as Jay and Femina Sri Lanka. Moreover she has appeared on couple of TV Commercials and had done dozens of fashion shows. Some of the Fashion shows she walked the catwalk were Colombo Paris Fashion Week 2007, LIFT Fashion Show, and SLAHB Fashion show.

She also modeled as a Thai Bride for a leading Thai designer in the Sun Silk Phaba Fashion show. Deena has also done amazing Bridal shows organized by top bridal designers in Sri Lanka. It’s worth noting that she is also featuring in Music Videos.

Nadeeka had the passion for designing from the beginning . She had the talent and a taste for creativity.She was different and was never afraid of the challenges. Nadeeka was crowned "The International Best Female Model 2007". The International competition, which Hemal Sachindra Ranasinghe won the International Best Male Model category in this year(2009). Nadeeka already carried four mini titles in the event; namely Miss Cat Walk, Miss photogenic, Best National Costume and Miss Glamour.

Nadeeka started her career as a professional model. She took part in Capri Queen beauty pageant 2003, and placed the fourth runnerup.Nadeeka was crowned Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World in 2005 beating Olivia James, Bernie Sooryaarachchi, Ceylonne Fernando, and Rozelle Plunket. Also she was awarded to "Ms. Body Beautiful Swimsuit" and "Ms. Beautiful Hair" title , while Rozelle Plunket was unanimously voted “Ms. Congeniality”.

Since then she has participated in the Model of the Year 2006 contest and having won the title, represented Sri Lanka in Alcante, Spain and won the title of International Best Female Model for 2007.This is the first time a Sri Lankan woman won a world's first place in this category. The super model represented Sri Lanka at the pageant in Alcante, Spain.

She was educated at St. Joseph’s Girls’ School. She wanted to become a model ever since the age of 16. Standing tall at 5’10”, Nadeeka is the tallest female model in Sri Lanka.
